Stürtzstrasse (Düren)
The Stürtzstraße in the district town Düren ( Nordrhein-Westfalen ) is an ancient city road .
The street connects Aachener Strasse with Bonner Strasse . It is classified as federal highway 264 . The street Altenteich joins on the northern side . Stürtzstraße runs in front of the former southern city wall .

There is a memorial plaque at the house at Stürtzstraße 27 . This means that the initiator of the Düren pensioners' apartments, Dr. Wilhelm Hofacker, thought. It has the inscription “City Treasurer Dr. Wilhelm Hofacker initiator and promoter of the construction of social pensioner apartments ”.
history
In 1888 an alignment plan was drawn up for the street . In 1896 the road was expanded. At that time it was still called the Holz-Obertor-Promenade , popularly also known as the District Administrator 's Promenade or Dühste Promenädchen . In memory of the Düren honorary citizen and District Administrator Emmerich Stürtz , the street was renamed Stürtzstrasse by a council resolution of April 25, 1893.
