The Stadtbrauerei Spalt is a brewery in the Middle Franconian town of Spalt , which was created in 1879 from many small breweries.
The “ Spalter Aroma Hops ”, which is the city's most important commodity, is used to brew beer . The first historical evidence of this goes back to 1376.
The city brewery brews according to the traditional art of brewing; the beers are not heated to a high temperature and are stored cool after bottling. All varieties are produced according to the rules of SlowBrewing eV. It takes five to ten weeks to mature.
