The Stadthalle Balingen is the event and exhibition hall of the city of Balingen in the Zollernalb district of Baden-Württemberg . The operating company also organizes events outside the hall.

The town hall is a publicly owned enterprise of the city of Balingen and 100 percent in their property. Matthias Klein is the managing director.

History and use

The town hall Balingen in the Balinger Hirschberstraße was opened in 1981. In 2010 the hall was modernized and expanded. It is suitable for concert events, lectures, conferences and exhibitions. The hall can be used by up to 1000 people. An affiliated restaurant is leased to a private operator.

Art exhibitions of supraregional importance take place in the town hall at regular intervals of several years. The exhibitions have changing focuses, in the past, for example, Marc Chagall , Pablo Picasso , Joan Miró , Gustav Klimt , Erich Heckel , Paul Klee or Ernst Ludwig Kirchner . From August 15 to October 4, 2020, the Stadthalle is showing a retrospective by the New York pop art artist James Rizzi .

The city's indoor swimming pool is located in the same building complex.
