Coordinates: 49 ° 40 '41.8 " N , 9 ° 0' 16.7" O The city Museum Michel City (previously Odenwald and toy museum ) in Michel city is in a 1517 built storage buildings of the former winery the Burg Michel city housed.
Regional and city history is presented . The exhibits begin in prehistory and early history , through Roman times , Christianization and the development of the Mark Michelstadt to the county of Erbach . Replicas of rooms from different eras and living environments in the region are shown. As well as the representation of regional-historical working worlds, the development of handicrafts in Michelstadt, pottery and pewter dishes, hunting rifles and artistic exhibits, for example amber work by the Odenwald artist Jan Holschuh . A separate room is dedicated to the artist Fritz Kredel , with a collection that includes around 500 copies.
The toy museum has a collection of historical toys. Including dolls and their accessories from around 1880 to 1940, miniatures, wooden toys and a wide range of paper toys. Furthermore toys from abroad.
In the attic there is a model railway system in H0 gauge , in which the Odenwald railway was faithfully reproduced.
