The city quarter Neuer Kanzlerplatz , also high-rise on the new Kanzlerplatz , is a planned building ensemble with a high-rise in the federal city of Bonn . It has been built on the site of the old Bonn Center since 2019 and is due to be completed in 2022.

The high-rise is to be built on Reuterbrücke at Bundeskanzlerplatz on the edge of the federal district in Bonn-Gronau , on the area of the Bonn Center that was blown up in March 2017. Like the previous building, the new complex is planned to consist of three buildings, two of them flat, one of which will be a high-rise. Before that, it took a year to clear the wreckage of the demolition. The excavation pit had been prepared by the end of 2018 and building construction began in 2019. The laying of the foundation stone was celebrated on June 14, 2019. The completion of the ensemble is scheduled for after 2022 and should have over 66,000 m² of office space from there on, spread over 28 floors. 40,000 m² of which are to be rented from Postbank . Original plans were for a lower building. But thanks to the high-rise building, which had already been in place for almost 50 years, the permissible total height could be increased to over 100 m. According to current plans, the new European quarter should now measure 101.5 m. When it is completed, the high-rise will likely be the third tallest in the city.

What the building complex will ultimately be called is currently still uncertain and will be announced at the latest upon completion.
