Staffan Tapper (born July 10, 1948 in Malmö ) is a former Swedish football player .
Defensive midfielder Staffan Tapper played his entire career at Malmö FF . With this club he became Swedish champions and in 1979 reached the final of the European Cup against Nottingham Forest . The final lost his team 0-1. For the Swedish national football team , he took part in the World Cup finals in 1974 and 1978 . In the first game of the second final round of the 1974 World Cup in Germany, he missed a penalty against Polish goalkeeper Jan Tomaszewski . The game was lost 0-1. In the next game his team lost 4-2 against Germany and was eliminated from the tournament.
