history
The early as the time of the German Empire club founded in 1897 was the first cycling club, which the stayer world champion of 1930, Erich Möller , chose for his career.
From the 1920s onwards, the Laatzen steel bike club organized numerous cross-country and cinder track races.
Well-known victories from the membership ranks
- 1972: Karl Köther finished fourth in the sprint at the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich .
- 1976: Marianne Stuwe became German champion in the road race and in the 3000 meter pursuit on the track.
