Stan Golestan

Stan Golestan (born May 26, 1875 in Vaslui , † April 21, 1956 in Paris ) was a Romanian composer and music critic.

Golestan studied from 1897 to 1903 at the Schola Cantorum in Paris with Vincent d'Indy , Albert Roussel and Paul Dukas and lived there as a composer, music critic and composition teacher at the École Normale . He wrote as a music critic for Le Figaro and founded the magazine L'Album musical in 1905 .

Golestan composed symphonic works, chamber and vocal music.
