Stan Shih
Stan Shih ( Chinese 施振榮 , Pinyin Shī Zhènróng , born December 18, 1944 in Lugang , Changhua County , Taiwan ) is a Taiwanese entrepreneur and from 1976 to 2004 CEO of the Acer Group he founded . He is currently the company's honorary chairman .
life and work
After Shih completed a bachelor's and master's degree in electrical engineering at Chiao Tung University in Hsinchu , he and his wife and five others founded Multitech in 1976, which was renamed Acer in 1987. He remained CEO of the Acer Group until his retirement in 2004. In November 2013, Shih was appointed by Acer as chairman of the board. He held this position until June 2014, when he has been Honorary Chairman of the company.
Stan Shih is married and has three children.
