Standart ( Bulgarian Стандарт ; pronunciation [ stɐnˈdart ]; German meaning " Standard ") is a Bulgarian national daily newspaper with an editorial office in Sofia . The newspaper was founded in 1992. The current owner of the publishing company Standart News AG ( Стандарт нюз ) is Todor Batkow .

Since its inception, Standart has published a daily internet edition in Bulgarian and English. In addition, a is RSS - web feed available in Bulgarian.

Even before the Bulgarian Socialists took over government with Sergei Stanishev as Prime Minister in 2005, the newspaper was regarded as independent of parties . Today the newspaper is considered to be Russophile and left-wing .
