Stanislaw Widtmann

Stanisław Widtmann (lit. Stanislavas Vidtmannas , Verk. Stanislav Vidtmann ) is a Lithuanian diplomat and former politician of Polish origin, from 2011 to 2012 Vice Minister for Culture .

Life

After graduating from secondary school, Widtmann completed a diploma in biology . From 1994 to 1996 he was editor of a section of "Słowo Wileńskie", the weekly newspaper of the Polish minority in Lithuania. After that he worked in the Lithuanian state administration. He was Deputy General Director at Tautinių mažumų ir išeivijos departamentas prie Lietuvos Respublikos Vyriausybės and then advisor to the Lithuanian Prime Minister. From September 2011 to 2012 he was Lithuanian vice minister of culture , deputy of Arūnas Gelūnas in the cabinet of Kubilius II . He got the allegations about service ethics and private interests. From 2012 he worked in the Lithuanian Ministry of Energy and was also a member of the supervisory board in the LitPolLink energy project . Until August 30th he was a member of the Lithuanian Cultural Council. Since September 2014 he has been an attaché for the energy sector in Warsaw , in a newly created position in the Lithuanian embassy in Poland .

He is married. His wife Renata Widtmann works for the Polish radio station Znad Wilii .
