Stanislav Seman (born August 8, 1952 in Košice ) is a former Slovak football goalkeeper and current football coach .

Career

Seman started playing football at Lokomotíva Košice at the age of nine . From 1972 to 1974 the goalkeeper did his military service with Dukla Banská Bystrica and then returned to Košice . In 1977 and 1979 he won the Czechoslovak Cup with his team . At the age of 32 he moved abroad and joined the Cypriot club Alki Larnaka , where the goalkeeper played until 1987.

Seman also took part in the 1980 Olympic Games in Moscow . After a 1-0 win against the GDR national soccer team in the final, the team became Olympic champions.

Seman also took part in the 1980 European Football Championship in Italy , where he was third with the team. In addition, Seman took part in the Soccer World Cup in Spain in 1982 , where Czechoslovakia only came third behind France and England in the first group stage and was eliminated.
