Stanislav Strnad

Stanislav Strnad (born December 17, 1930 in Prague ; † April 5, 2012 , ibid) was a Czech film director .

life and work

Strnad studied directing at the Moscow Film School from 1950 to 1955 , then returned to Czechoslovakia , where he realized music and entertainment programs on behalf of National Television. At the end of the 1950s, working as assistant director on two Soviet-Czechoslovak productions finally led him to feature films. He made his debut with the film Ein Schloß für Barbara as a director for feature films, but then returned to television. In 1975 he directed another feature film, Mein Bruder hat ein prima Bruder , which was to be followed by other films.
