history
StarRoc was founded in 2008 by the American hip hop artist Jay-Z and the Norwegian songwriter and producer duo Mikkel S. Eriksen and Tor Erik Hermansen ( Stargate ). The label is a 50/50 partnership between Stargate and Jay-Z's Roc Nation label , which he co-founded with Live Nation that same year . StarRoc is based in Jay-Z's recording studio, Roc The Mic, in Manhattan , New York City , United States.
