Star Industry is a rock band from Belgium founded in 1996 .
history
The band was founded in 1996 by Peter Beckers (vocals, guitar), Xavier "Pssyche" Vranken (guitar) and Stijn "Stign" Kuijpers (bass) in Maasmechelen (Belgium). In 1997 Marc Haerden (drums) and Peter "Utz" Gerits (synthesizer) joined the band and completed the line-up. In 1997 the first studio album Iron Dust Crush was released . The song Nineties , which is best known to this day, is on it .
The first edition from 1997 sold out quickly, so that in the following year a re-release with two bonus songs ( Egypt and Ceremonial Live in Gent) was published.
During this time, Star Industry received good reviews in Europe. At concerts and festivals they shared the stage with bands such as The Sisters of Mercy , Front 242 , Paradise Lost , Clawfinger and HIM . Marc Haerden left the band in 1999 and was replaced on drums by Kurt Lantin. In 2000 the New Millennium EP was released.
The second studio album Velvet was released in 2001 and contained a hit from the group Roxette with The Look . 2007's Last Crusades is the band's third studio album. This reached number 7 in the German Alternative Charts. With black angel - white dEVIL , the first live album in the band's history was released in 2008. It contains a concert recording of a performance in Madrid. A limited version includes the debut album Iron Dust Crush as a bonus CD. In the same year the album Velvet was also re-released
In June and July 2011, Star Industry played for the first time in China and in May 2012 there was the first live concert in the United States .
On March 27, 2015, the band released their fourth studio album The Renegade .
