Star Wars : Galaxy's Edge is a themed area based on the Star Wars film franchise and has so far been integrated into two amusement parks at the two Disney resorts in the United States .

The planning for the new subject area was presented in August 2015 and work started in April 2016. The opening at Disneyland Anaheim was announced on May 31, 2019 and at Disney's Hollywood Studios Orlando on August 29, 2019. Walt Disney Imagineering is responsible for the implementation as the supervisor .

Only the Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run attraction is available for each opening . The Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance attraction wo n't open until later in 2019 in both parks .

In March 2018 it was announced that Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge is also planned as an extension of the French Walt Disney Studios Park . The start of construction is indicated from 2021 at the earliest.

An interactive flight simulator in which passengers control the spaceship Millennium Falcon .

Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance

Further details about this dark ride are not yet known.
