Stasys Sedbaras

Stasys Šedbaras (born February 10, 1958 in Tūjainiai , Rajongemeinde Šilalė ) is a Lithuanian lawyer and conservative politician .

biography

After graduation in 1975 at the middle school Kaltinėnai in Šilalė Stasys Šedbaras completed the diploma study of 1,981 law at the Law Faculty of Vilnius University with honors and worked as a lawyer and then as a clerk in the public prosecutor Vilnius. In 2005 he received his doctorate in law from MRU University and then also worked as a lawyer in Vilnius .

From 1992 to 1993 he was Deputy Minister of Justice of Lithuania and from November 1998 to 1999 he was Minister of the Interior of Lithuania , from 1993 to 1996 he was a judge of the Lithuanian Constitutional Court (Lietuvos Respublikos Konstitucinis Teismas) . From 1989 to 1992 he was judge of the Lithuanian Supreme Court (Lietuvos Aukščiausiasis Teismas) , in 1999 President of the Court of Aukštesnysis administracinis teismas and from 1996 to 1998, from 2000 to November 17, 2008 a lawyer. He has been a member of the Seimas since 2008, where he is chairman of the legal committee.

Since 2000 he has been teaching administrative law at the MRU University. From 2006 to 2008 he was director of the Law Institute at Vytautas Magnus University in Kaunas .

Stasys Šedbaras is married and has two sons and a daughter with his wife.
