Stasys Stačiokas

Stasys Stačiokas (born August 25, 1937 in Alytus , † May 11, 2020 in Vilnius ) was a Lithuanian lawyer, constitutional lawyer , judge and politician (member of the Seimas ).

Life

After graduating from secondary school, Stasys Stačiokas graduated from the Vilnius University in the Lithuanian capital with a degree in law in 1960 and then taught at the university's law faculty. On September 29, 1967, he received his doctorate from the University of Moscow in the Administration Law of the industry (about valstybinės - teisinės priemonės socialistinei pramonei sukurti Lietuvos TSR ) in Russia . From 1973 to 1990 he was director of the forensic research institute Teismo ekspertizės mokslinio tyrimo institutas , from 1993 to 1996 and from 1999 to 2002 he was a judge in the Lietuvos Respublikos Konstitucinis Teismas , and from 1996 to 1999 a member of the Seimas .

He was married. He and his wife had two sons.
