Stathis Psillos

Stathis Psillos ( Greek Στάθης Ψύλλος ) (* 1965 ) is a Greek philosopher and scientific theorist . He is considered a representative of scientific realism .

After studying physics at the University of Patras study followed philosophy at King's College of London University . In 1994 he received his PhD in Science and Realism: A Naturalistic Investigation into Scientific Inquiry with David Papineau . Since 1999 he has been Professor of Philosophy of Science and History of Science at the University of Athens .

In 2015 he was elected to the Academia Europaea .
