Staudach (Staudach-Egerndach)
Staudach is a district of the municipality of Staudach-Egerndach in the Upper Bavarian district of Traunstein .
history
The town of Staudach was first mentioned in 1150 as "Studahe". In the Middle Ages, Hohenstein Castle was located in what is now the municipality of Staudach-Egerndach , which was temporarily owned by the Chiemgau counts of the Sieghardinger family . The complex, of which only a few remains are preserved on the Schlossberg, often changed hands. In 1260 the castle came under the rule of Duke Heinrich XIII. from Bavaria-Landshut. Today's independent municipality of Staudach-Egerndach was established in 1818 as the municipality of Egerndach with the districts of Staudach and Egerndach. On April 13, 1949, the municipality name Egerndach was officially changed to Staudach-Egerndach .
