Stefan Beneking (born May 24, 1969 in Hanover ) is a former German soccer goalkeeper .

Stefan Beneking began his career in 1987 at TSV Havelse . Already in his first season with the then top division club , he reached first place with the Garbsen club . However, TSV took last place in the promotion relegation to the 2nd Bundesliga . Only in the following year did the promotion to the higher division work. In the second division, Beneking played a total of six times for TSV. Nevertheless, the club was relegated. After TSV Havelse failed again in the promotion relegation the following year, he left the club and joined SC Freiburg, where his former coach Volker Finke had only recently taken over the helm. With Freiburg he played in the 2nd and 1st Bundesliga and played 17 games for the Breisgauer by 1997. In 2004 Beneking ended his career. Today Beneking is employed in the IT industry.
