Stefan Bergmann (journalist, 1968)

Stefan Bergmann (* 1968 ) is a German journalist .

Life

Stefan Bergmann studied German , philosophy and linguistics at the Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster as well as journalism at the Free University of Berlin .

Bergmann began his journalistic career with the Westfälische Nachrichten and was press spokesman for the Münster district government . In 2006 he took over the local editorial office of the Münsterschen Zeitung , after having previously headed the development department. From November 2014 to April 2020, Bergmann was editor-in-chief of the Emder Zeitung . After a complete relaunch in January 2015, the paper won two design prizes at the European Newspaper Award . In the competition in 2016, the paper won four awards, especially for its exemplary handling of photos.

He works as a lecturer for journalism at the University of Emden .
