Stefan Borsch
Stefan Borsch (born January 19, 1947 ) is a Swedish dansband singer from Hagfors . In the 1980s he was one of the most famous artists in this genre.
Musical career
Stefan Borsch grew up in a family that was engaged in choral singing and began his musical career as a drummer in the "LGP: s Orkester". After an injury to his hand, he began to concentrate on singing and in 1968 he became a singer in "Tony Jordans Orkester" from Arvika . From 1973 Stefan Borsch sang with "The Steel Town Singers", "Pär-Rhunes" and "Öijwinds".
Stefan Borsch achieved his musical success after he became a singer with "The Vikings", which changed their name to " Vikingarna " after a record deal was signed . Borsch produced the first six records of the “Kramgoa låtar” series with “Vikingarna” until he took a break from music in 1978 and left the band.
After three years, Borsch signed a record deal with music entrepreneur Bert Karlsson and made his comeback with the LP “Minns att jag finns”, which contained the hit “Vid en liten fiskehamn”. In the 1980s he continued his solo career and produced several albums and hits such as the song "Adress Rosenhill" (1986).
At the “ Melodifestivalen 1985” his contribution “Sjung en sång” did not prevail and was eliminated in the first round.
In addition to his solo productions, Stefan Borsch also appeared with the "Stefan Borsch Orkester", which broke up in 1993. Between 1995 and 1999 he was a singer in the "Keith Elwins Orkester".
In 1999 Stefan Borsch ended his career as a musician. He had studied at the “Socialhögskolan” in Örebro in the 1980s and since then has also worked as a supervisor for young people. In 1994 he became a carer for the hearing care of adolescents and children at Karlstad Hospital .
