Stefan Dobrovich

Stefan Dobrovich (born December 16, 1904 in Wulkaprodersdorf ; † July 13, 1995 there ) was an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ) and farmer in Wulkaprodersdorf. From 1945 to 1949 he was a member of the Burgenland Landtag .

Life

Dobrovich grew up as the son of the farmer Martin Dobrovich, speaking Croatian in Wulkerprodersdorf. He worked in his parents' farm and learned to be a carpenter in 1922. Dobrovich worked as a carpenter in Lower Austria and Styria and was in the military from 1928 to 1932. Dobrovich was a member of the Heimwehr and its local commander and was drafted into the Wehrmacht in 1939 . After being wounded, he was made indispensable as a farmer.

Dobrovich was married.

After the Second World War , Dobrovich, as the ÖVP representative of the Croatian-speaking population, was a member of the Burgenland Landtag, of which he was a member from December 13, 1945 to November 4, 1949. After that he only held local political functions.
