Stefan Klebert

Stefan Klebert (born June 27, 1965 in Stuttgart ) is a German mechanical engineer; He was CEO of Schuler AG from October 1, 2010 to April 24, 2018 and has held this position at the GEA Group since February 2019 .

Life

After an apprenticeship as a mechanic, Klebert studied mechanical engineering in Esslingen . He began his professional career in 1991 at Festo AG & Co. as an assistant to the sales management, where he soon headed international marketing. While working, he completed an MBA at Henley Management College and dealt with the topic of international key account management as part of his master's thesis. As a result, he built up this position at Festo and headed it until he switched to Schindler. From 1999 to 2003 he was managing director and later chairman of the executive board of the elevator manufacturer Haushahn, which was restructured under his leadership. From 2004 to 2009 he was responsible for industrial services in the ThyssenKrupp Group, most recently as a member of the Executive Board of ThyssenKrupp Services AG and left after the reorganization and sale of this division. Since 2010 he has been CEO of Schuler AG. Klebert significantly expanded the China activities of Schuler AG and reduced the production locations in Germany. Klebert resigned from the Board of Management on April 24, 2018 with record results on the day of the Annual General Meeting.

Klebert is a lecturer for corporate management at the University of Technology, Science and Design in Konstanz .

Volunteering

In 2009 he founded the non-profit organization FlyingHope, the purpose of which is to enable seriously ill children to be transported by air free of charge. Klebert holds a professional pilot's license and is a flight instructor.
