Stefan Krutten

Stefan Krutten (born December 24, 1960 in Oppen , today in Beckingen ) is a German politician ( SPD ).

education and profession

Between 1976 and 1980 Krutten completed an apprenticeship as a power plant electronics technician at Dillinger Hütte , and worked as an electronics technician at the hut until 1989. After completing part-time training to become a master electrician from 1983 to 1987, Krutten has been working at Dillinger Hütte since 1989 as a training master for electrical professions and mechatronics.

Since 1990 Krutten has been an honorary member of two examination committees of the Saarland Chamber of Commerce and Industry .

politics

Krutten has been a member of the SPD since 1989. Between 1994 and 2011 he was a member of the local council of his birthplace Oppen and was chairman from 1997 to 2003, since then he has been deputy chairman of the SPD local association. Since 2000 he has been chairman of the SPD community association in Beckingen, and from 2004 Krutten was Mayor of Oppens for five years. Since 2009 he has been a member of the state executive committee of the SPD Saarland .

On January 15, 2014, he replaced Heiko Maas in the Saarland 's 15th electoral term . Maas was appointed Federal Minister of Justice in December 2013 . He is no longer a member of the state parliament elected in 2017.
