Life and work

Stefan Maskiewicz studied painting with Harald Duwe , Ekkehard Thieme and Peter Nagel at the Muthesius Kunsthochschule Kiel . Already during his studies he dealt with the effect of different media on image content. In the work at the end of his studies he dealt with video, photography and painting. 10 large-format paintings, 250 large-format slides and a 3-hour film of a small detail of an everyday object were created. Reflections and lighting conditions influence the image in many nuances. The film was set to music with noises and scraps of speech.

After working as a professor of media at the Münster University of Applied Sciences, Stefan Maskiewicz was a grammar school teacher for art, computer science, physics and English at the Heinrich-Heine-Schule Heikendorf ( Plön district ) from the end of 2007 to July 2019 .
