The Heinrich Heine School in Heikendorf is a grammar school sponsored by the Plön district . It is an open all-day school and offers its students a range of learning opportunities that go beyond regular lessons.
history
At the beginning of the 1973/74 school year, the grammar school was able to start operations in the premises of the first construction phase with 386 pupils and 17 teachers. The official inauguration took place on November 29, 1973.
At the beginning of the 1975/76 school year, the second construction phase was completed, the school yard was redesigned and the three-part sports hall was built at the same time .
On March 25, 1977, the third building phase completed the upper level wing. From 1978 onwards there was the first upper school class, who successfully passed their Abitur exams in June 1980 with 32 candidates.
On March 26, 1981, the name was given to Heinrich-Heine-Schule - Gymnasium of the Plön district and officially recognized on September 8, 1981. Heinrich Heine has been the namesake since then .
The grammar school runs for the most part in five classes, from 2008 with the Abitur after the twelfth grade ("G8"), since 2018 again with the Abitur after the thirteenth grade ("G9").
