Stefan Morent

Stefan Morent (born May 3, 1967 in Ravensburg ) is a German musicologist .

From 1986 to 1992 he completed a master's degree in musicology (1st major) and Romance studies , then computer science (2nd major) at the University of Tübingen . From 1993 to 1995 he studied recorder and historical performance practice ( Kees Boeke ) at the Trossingen University of Music . After completing his doctorate in 1995 in Tübingen, he received a habilitation scholarship from 2002 to 2004 at the Graduate School Ars and Scientia in the Middle Ages and the Early Modern Era . After completing his habilitation in 2004 at the University of Tübingen, he was a professor at the Institute of Musicology from 2005 to 2007. In 2008 he was appointed adjunct professor at the University of Tübingen. Since 2017 he has been head of the DFG research project (indexing medieval music fragments from Württemberg monasteries in the main state archive in Stuttgart ).
