Stefan Rohner

Stefan Rohner (* 1959 in Herisau ) is a Swiss photographer and video artist .

biography

Rohner trained as a photographer in Freiburg im Üechtland and has lived as a freelance artist since 1985. Since 1988 he has been documenting the actions of the artist Roman Signer .

In 2000 he received the Interartes Photo Prize, in 2003 the work grant from the Thurgauer Kulturstiftung and in 2004 the work grant from the St. Gallen Cultural Foundation. It is also supported by contributions from Pro Helvetia , the Steinegg Foundation, the Migros Ostschweiz cooperative and the Herisau community.

Rohner's works can be seen in the Upper School Center in Wittenbach and in the St. Gallen municipal workshop.
