Stefan Schaible (* 1968 in Munich ) is a German management consultant . He was Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Roland Berger , managed the business in Germany and Central Europe and is now Global Managing Partner . Schaible is an expert in advising the public sector .

Life

Schaible grew up in Nagold, southwest of Stuttgart. He completed stays abroad in France, the United Kingdom and the United States. Influenced by the sustainability debate in the 1980s, he was involved with the Jusos and was a member of the state executive committee of the SPD in Baden-Württemberg . After graduating from high school, he studied chemistry and law at the University of Konstanz .

Schaible began his professional career in 1997 at the management consultancy Roland Berger. After four years he was elected partner. As a specialist in advising the public sector, large infrastructure projects as well as the energy and environmental sectors, he took over the management of the competence center for the civil economy. In this role he advised authorities such as the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees and the Federal Employment Agency . He also became a member of Roland Berger's global executive committee.

In 2014, Schaible took over the management of the business in Germany and Central Europe . In addition, when Charles-Édouard Bouée took office, he became Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Roland Berger on an international level. In this position he pushed the restructuring of the management consultancy after the partners had finally decided in favor of independence. Under Schaibel's leadership, Roland Berger achieved double-digit growth rates and developed successfully on the domestic market. Schaible publicly spoke out in favor of a cosmopolitan and liberal Europe and dealt intensively with digitization .

In 2018, Schaible was re-elected by the partners as Deputy Chief Executive Officer. After Charles-Édouard Bouée retired in 2019, he moved to the position of Global Managing Director. He was part of a five-person management team that initially headed the management consultancy on a transitional basis. In 2020, the partners elected a new three-person board , with Schaible acting as its spokesman . In addition to this role as Global Managing Partner, Schaible is responsible for Roland Berger's digital business.

Schaible is married and has two children.
