Stefan Schemer

Stefan Schemer (born August 19, 1928 in Vienna ; † June 6, 2017 there ) was an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ) and employee of the cooperative. Schemer was a member of the National Council from 1975 to 1990 .

After compulsory schooling, Schmer attended a commercial school and from 1974 worked for the “Siedlungsunion” building cooperative. From 1950 he was active as a functionary in the SPÖ and from 1960 to 1968 was a district councilor in Vienna- Donaustadt . Between 1969 and 1975 he was a member of the Vienna State Parliament and City Council, after which he represented the SPÖ between November 4, 1975 and November 4, 1990 in the National Council. In addition, from 1973 Schemer was district party chairman of the SPÖ Vienna-Donaustadt.

He had a daughter and two granddaughters.
