Stefanie Bielmeier

Stefanie Bielmeier (born June 30, 1954 in Geislingen an der Steige ) is a German writer and art historian .

Life

She spent her childhood and youth in Salach , and high school in Göppingen . After graduating from Freihof-Gymnasium Göppingen , she studied art history, German, Romance studies and history at the universities of Tübingen , Perugia , Siena and Munich from 1973 to 1981 . In 1981 she completed her doctorate in art history at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich with the thesis “Painted art history. On the designs of Peter von Cornelius for the loggias of the Alte Pinakothek ”from Professors Hermann Bauer and Friedrich Piel . Then she took over the editing, later the editor-in-chief of the international scientific art magazine Pantheon . Since completing her studies, she has published numerous fiction and scientific publications. In recent years Bielmeier has concentrated on her literary and essayistic work. So far, three novels have been published.

Stefanie Bielmeier lives in Munich, Paris and the Algarve.
