Stefanie Zotter , after marriage to Stefanie Kaul , (born December 8, 1971 ) is a former Austrian athlete .

Stefanie Zotter started for Eintracht Frankfurt from 1993 to 1996 and then moved to USC Mainz . In the 400-meter hurdles she was Austrian champion in 1991, 1994 and 1995. On June 19, 1994, she set her personal best with 57.27 seconds at the evening sports festival of TSV Pfungstadt . In July 1994 Zotter won the title at the Austrian Athletics Championships in Linz both over the long hurdles in a time of 58.22 seconds and with a personal best of 54.69 seconds in the 400-meter run . In the same year she took part in the European Championships , but was eliminated there in 58.32 seconds in the run-up. At the end of 2019, the Styrian Athletics Association led Stefanie Zotter over the 400-meter hurdles as the record holder, making her second on the Austrian best list. Zotter's 400-meter time was also the Styrian national record.

In 1997 Stefanie Zotter married the German athlete Michael Kaul . In 1998 their son Niklas Kaul was born, who, trained by his parents, became world champion in the decathlon in 2019. She is a teacher by profession and (2019) deputy head of a comprehensive school .

  1. The best performance is in Klaus Amrhein's manual, the ÖLV website has the same performance. According to the IAAF website, the 58.32 seconds from the European Championship run-up are her best time. This is already wrong because in 1994 Zotter was national champion in 58.22 seconds.
