Stefanie Menzinger
Stefanie Menzinger (name since marriage: Stefanie Straub ; born March 24, 1965 in Gießen ) is a German writer.
Life
Stefanie Menzinger grew up in Wiesbaden . From 1985 to 1991 she studied German and Slavic studies in Mainz, Vienna, Frankfurt am Main and Moscow. She then worked from 1992 to 1994 as a German teacher at the University of Education in Liepāja (Latvia); from 1996 to 2002 she was a lecturer in German literature at the Romanian University of Cluj-Napoca . She has lived in Munich since 2002.
Stefanie Menzinger is the author of a volume with stories and a novel in which the subjects of “body” and “sensuality” play a broad role.

- 1994: Ernst Willner Prize at the Ingeborg Bachmann Competition in Klagenfurt and the Rheingau Literature Prize
- 1995: Gratwander Prize for Erotic Literature and the Hans Erich Nossack Prize

- 1999: Anna Seghers Prize
