Stefanos Paparounas ( Greek Στέφανος Παπαρούνας , * 22. January 1990 in Trikala ) is a Greek diver . He starts in artificial jumping from the 1-meter and 3-meter board and with Alexandros Manos in 3-meter synchronized jumping .

Paparounas celebrated his first international successes at the Junior European Championships in Minsk in 2008 , from the 3-meter board he won bronze medals in both individual and synchronized competitions. In the adult field, he made his debut at the European Championships in Turin in 2009 , he reached two finals from the 3-meter board and finished ninth in singles and fifth with Manos in synchronized jumping. The 2011 European Championships , which also took place in Turin, were also successful . Paparounas reached the finals in the individual from the 1-meter and 3-meter board and in the 3-meter synchronized jumping. At the 2012 World Cup , Paparounas won a quota place for jumping at the 2012 Olympic Games in London .
