Steffen Luik

Steffen Luik (* 1969 in Reutlingen ) is a German lawyer and a judge at the Federal Social Court since August 29, 2018 .

Life

After studying law in Tübingen , Steffen Luik passed the two state examinations in 1994 and 1996 . The doctorate on Jeremy Bentham's reception in German law was carried out while working as a research assistant at Jan Schröder's chair . The work was completed in 2001.

The transitional activity as a lawyer was followed by a career in the Baden-Württemberg judiciary, initially from 2002 to 2009 as a judge at the social court in Ulm , then from 2006 to 2011 as a non-permanent member of the judicial service court at the regional court in Karlsruhe , partly interrupted and partly followed by secondments the Federal Social Court, the Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs , the State Social Court of Baden-Württemberg and the Social Court of Stuttgart . Since June 2013 Luik Richter has been at the Regional Social Court in Stuttgart, since 2016 he has also been its press spokesman. In the Federal Social Court, Luik has been appointed judge with effect from August 29, 2018 on the 7th / 8th Senate has been assigned, which is responsible for matters relating to the Asylum Seekers Benefits Act and social assistance .

In addition, Luik has been a lecturer at the University of Tübingen for social law / social insurance law since 2013 .
