Steffen M. Kühnel

Steffen M. Kühnel (born September 2, 1956 in Hamburg ) is a German sociologist and professor for quantitative methods of empirical social research at the social science faculty of the Georg-August University in Göttingen .

Life

Kühnel studied sociology, social psychology, political science and computer science in Hamburg until 1983.

He was a research assistant and assistant at the University of Bremen , GH University Siegen and the central archive for empirical social research in Cologne. He worked as a lecturer at the Essex Summer School for Social Science Data Analysis and Collection and as a professor for empirical social research at the Institute for Political Science at the University of Giessen.

Since 1998 he has been visiting professor at the University of Brussels and since 2000 professor for quantitative methods at the Georg-August University in Göttingen.

For teaching purposes he has published several introductory works in quantitative social research , including an introduction to quantitative social research and statistics for the social sciences .

He was dean of the social science faculty at the University of Göttingen.
