Stegna ( Greek Στεγνά ( n. Pl. )) Is a district of Archangelos on the Greek island of Rhodes . The village is about 3 km east of Archangelos, about 30 km south of Rhodes town and 20 km north of Lindos .
Stegna used to be a weekend settlement for the residents of Archangelos and Lindos, only in the 1980s the place was opened up for tourism.
In the meantime, Stegna has become a popular bathing bay, which can be reached from Archangelos via a well-developed but steep asphalt road. In the last few years several apartment houses, taverns and shops have settled in Stegna. At the end of the bay there is a hotel that blends harmoniously into the bay, but has brought heavy traffic from transfer buses with it. The approx. 2 km long sand / pebble beach slopes gently into the water. There is a small fishing boat harbor at the end of the beach. A few small islands are in front of the bay. As on the entire east coast of Rhodes, strong winds and waves are hardly to be expected here.
