The Steilenalm is an alpine pasture in the municipality of Oberaudorf .

Several alpine huts of the Steilenalm are under monument protection and are registered under the number D-1-87-157-93 in the Bavarian monument list.

Building description

In the Bavarian Monument List, three buildings of the Steilenalm are described, but there are five buildings on the Alm, all of which are marked as architectural monuments in the Bavarian Monument Atlas.

The buildings described are:

  • a wooden building on a stone base with a gable roof and star door, around 1825,
  • a wooden building on a stone base with a flat shingle roof , 1780,
  • a shingled wooden structure on a stone base with a flat gable roof , around 1825.

Todays use

The Steilenalm is bumped and entertained.

location

The Steilenalm is located in the Mangfall Mountains east of the Großer Traithen on the southern slopes of the Steilner Joch at an altitude of 1350  m above sea level. NN .
