history

NWA / WCW

On November 1, 1989, the Steiner Brothers in Atlanta, Georgia, won the NWA World Tag Team Championships for the first time by defeating the Fabulous Freebirds . On May 19, 1990, their reign ended after a loss to Doom. The Steiners defeated The Midnight Express on August 24, 1990 , giving them the NWA United States Tag Team Championships. Shortly thereafter, World Championship Wrestling emerged from the National Wrestling Alliance and the title was renamed the WCW United States Tag Team Championship. After they also won the WCW World Tag Team Championships on February 18, 1991 , the WCW United States Tag Team Championships was removed from the Steiners two days later and declared vacant . They were the second tag team in history to hold both WCW World and United States tag team titles at once. After the Steiners had also won the IWGP World Tag Team Championship on March 21, 1991, they were henceforth announced as "Triple Crown Champions".

WWF

Shortly after the Steiners left WCW in November 1992, both signed with the World Wrestling Federation (now WWE). The brothers made their TV debut there with the issue of WWF Prime Time Wrestling on December 21, 1992. After they made their Monday Night RAW in January 1993 and made their PPV debut with an appearance at the Royal Rumble , they were allowed to play at Wrestlemania IX Defeat The Headshrinkers . After that, the team found itself in a feud with Money Incorporated, in the course of which the Steiners were also allowed to win the WWF Tag Team Championships from their opponents. They lost the title again two days later, only to win them again after 3 more days. On September 13, 1993, the Quebecers title was stripped from them and they left their doctorate in mid-1994.

ECW and WCW

On July 28, 1995 the Steiner Brothers made their debut at Extreme Championship Wrestling , which they left in October of the same year. In 1996 they hired a second time in the WCW, where they lost the WCW World Tag Team Championships they had won after three days in July and then feuded with the Outsiders. After the WCW closed, Scott and Rick went their separate ways.

reformation

In 2006 there was a reformation of the Steiner Brothers tag team with a win against Matt Bentley & Frankie Kazarian in the United Wrestling Federation. On December 9, 2006, they won the NWA Mid-Atlantic Tag Team Championships.
