Steingardsøkket ( Norwegian for Stone Guardian Basin ) is a flat, icy valley in Queen Maud Land in East Antarctica . It is located southwest of the Nunatakker group Steingarden in the eastern foothills of the Fimbulheimen .
Scientists from the Norwegian Polar Institute named it in 1973 based on the naming of the neighboring Nunatakker group.
