history
The name of the hilltop is mentioned for the first time on the Berlin miles sheets around 1800, on later measuring table sheets a small quarry or a stone ridge is marked here.
The "Kleine Straße" runs right past Possendorf to Frauenstein and Freiberg, today it is called "Wilmsdorfer Straße" and is no longer a street. In the 20th century, the hilltop served as a surveying point and was given as 266.6 m above sea level, today's altitude is based on GPS measurements.
