Stone box at the Hesselvad Bro

The Middle Bronze Age stone box at the Hesselvad Bro (bridge) is located at the transition from the "Gammel Landvej" to the "Åkær Å", west of Kolding in Jutland in Denmark .

The well-preserved stone box ( Danish light box ) made of 10 bearing stones and four cap stones was found during the construction of the motorway in the Bredhøj burial mound south of Lejrskov, examined and moved to the parking lot at Hesselvad Bro, built in 1850. A saw and some bronze fittings were found with the stone box , which came from a folding stool whose wood had long since rotted away .
