Quinish stone row

Quinish (also called Mingary) is a row of stones that used to be about 10.4 m long and is located northwest of Dervaig in the northwest of the Isle of Mull in Argyll and Bute in Scotland .

The Menhire ( English Standing Stones ) of Mull are unique for Scotland, as they often in rows ( Baliscate , Dervaig C , Kilmore and Maol Mor ) are arranged three to five stones.

The north-west-south-east oriented Quinish stones are in a pasture on the slope. There are four basalt menhirs , only one of which is in situ and the other three are lying. Earlier reports mention a fifth stone, which is missing today. The standing stone is over 2.7 m high and rectangular in cross-section. There it measures 0.45 × 0.33 m. Nearby are two fallen stones and a fourth pillar almost hidden in the ground.

On the site of the nearby Cuckoo House, Quinish's stone chest , without a capstone, is located near the sea and in which a small, grooved vessel was found in 1891.
