The Steinskaret ( Norwegian for Steinscharte ) is an icy notch in the East Antarctic Queen Maud Land . It is located in the center of the Kurzegebirge immediately south of the Steinskaregga .
Norwegian cartographers mapped the formation based on aerial photographs and measurements of the Third Norwegian Antarctic Expedition (1956–1960) and gave it a descriptive name.
