Steinunn Þóra Árnadóttir

Steinunn Þóra Árnadóttir (German transcription Steinunn Thora Arnadottir , born September 18, 1977 in Neskaupstaður ) is an Icelandic politician ( left-green movement ).

Steinunn Þóra holds a BA in Anthropology and an MA in Disability Studies (Icelandic fötlunarfræði ), both from the University of Iceland . She was a board member of the Icelandic MS Society and the Icelandic Disabled Association. From 2003 to 2005 she was also a member of the board of the Left-Green movement in Reykjavík.

After Árni Þór Sigurðsson resigned from the Icelandic parliament Althing on August 18, 2014 , Steinunn Þóra took his seat for the constituency of Reykjavík-Nord . From 2014 to 2015 she was a member of the Parliament's Committee on Welfare, from 2015 to 2016 of the Committee on Foreign Affairs. She successfully ran for the early parliamentary election on October 29, 2016 , also for the North Reykjavík constituency.
