Sten-Ove Ramberg

Sten-Ove Ramberg (born November 20, 1955 ) is a former Swedish football and bandy player .

career

Ramberg played for IF Brommapojkarna in his youth . In 1978 he moved to Hammarby IF . He was active for the club until 1989 and played 225 games in the Allsvenskan . He was then game coach in Bromsten from 1990 to 1993 before returning to IF Brommapojkarna as an assistant coach . From 1998 to 2000 he was head coach in Bromsten.

Ramberg made 27 appearances for Sweden . He was part of the team that won 3-0 in qualifying for the 1984 European Championship at the Stadio San Paolo against the then reigning world champions Italy . At the end of the qualification they were able to place themselves ahead of Italy and Czechoslovakia , but only came second behind Romania . Thus Ramberg was denied participation in a major tournament.

Ramberg also played bandy for Hammarby IF. He was appointed to the Swedish national bandy team twice.
