Stenzel from Jasmund
Stenzel von Jasmund , also Stanislaus († January 21, 1646 ) was a Danish Vice-Admiral .
Life
Stenzel was a member of the originally Rügish noble family of Jasmund, who were later widespread in Mecklenburg and beyond .
He entered the Danish naval service and was a ship lieutenant in 1628, and in 1631 he became a ship's captain . From 1635 to 1636 he was in command of the Elbe . In 1644 he took part as Schoutby Night in the sea battle on the Kolberger Heide and as vice admiral in the sea battle near Laaland . His ship was captured by the Swedes and he was jailed.
Jasmund died unmarried and without leaving any children.
