In 1985 he presented his "paper collection". Large-volume robes were made from phone book pages and newspaper, the silhouettes were reminiscent of the grand parures of French court fashion. In 1993, he created his natural collection “Natural Weapons”. The collection was reminiscent of fairy-like luxury creatures surrounded by rose petals, feathers and branches. In the same year he was awarded the “Junior Riecher” prize by the Berlin fashion journalists. In 1995 he designed his "celluloid collection". The gloss effects of the material were particularly noticeable. A year later, the Kunstgewerbemuseum Berlin dedicated a solo exhibition to him. In 1997 the Museum für Kunst und Gewerbe Hamburg exhibited the celluloid robes under the title "Stephan Hann - Photo Clothes". In 1998 he brought out his “architecture collection”, clothes made from folded architectural plans as full-body covers or silk robes with wing and fan arms. The collection was shown at the Nederlands Architectuurinstituut in Rotterdam on the occasion of its 10th anniversary.

In 2000 he created his "Lexmark Collection" from color photo prints. Here he picked up his natural picture themes from the “Forces of Nature Collection”, this time, for example, in the form of hundreds of roses cut out of color prints. A year later he presented this in Moscow. In 2004 he made his "Tetra Pak Collection". In 2007, photos and his material clothes were shown in the Museum of Applied Arts (Vienna) under the title “Recycling Couture”. A year later, the Kunstgewerbemuseum Berlin opened an exhibition entitled "couture remixed". The exhibition was extended to June 2009 and recorded a record number of visitors for the museum.

In 2011/2012 his exhibition "Recycling-Couture" was shown in the Kunsthalle St. Annen in Lübeck. In 2012 the "5 for 25" collection was commissioned by the German Historical Museum Berlin. Different thematic reports from the last 25 years of the museum, transformed into fashion objects, were shown. In 2012/2013 these were shown in the foyer of the German Historical Museum Berlin. In 2013 the exhibition "MODE - MEDIUM - MATERIAL" was shown in the Badisches Landesmuseum Karlsruhe.
